Pete - what happened to Draper King Cole Ranch on Cave Neck Road? That place really had some odors, and I've lost track of what happened there.

Not sure. It was quite an operation as I recall. Perhaps it was part of the deal that took place when the cannery was sold?
Imagine living between those two cattle farms in the summer.

I remember that odor well! It is an agricultural area, and these farms are legally allowed to operate, according to the zoning.

Default What do you expect?

You are moving to the country, what do you expect? The farmers been there long time if you want the country living, you got to deal with the good and the bad. Remember they were there first.

Oh so true! I'll take Delaware and a few "chicken" day without complaint.

Oh we mind alright! It's just the price you pay to get the ice cream. Strangely, it seems somewhat decadent to stand in line for ice cream at a working dairy farm instead of a sterile Baskin and Robbins.

True, I don't mean to be harsh, my family had a farm in Middletown right when the development started I guess 20 years ago, about 10 homes were put up across the street from our place. My father went over to intro himself and meet the new neighbors, and of course mentioned that they now live in a farm area and explained to them that certain times of the year when they would be plowing or picking that a lot dust can come up especially if the wind is blowing their way. That's the price you pay when you are living near a farm. The neighbors were very cool about it some even came over and helped out when needed.
