I'm currently researching areas of Delaware that may be forecasted for strong Economic growth, jobs, start ups, etc. Delaware is on our map as a "potential" move sometime next year. Thus far, it appears that there are a few hot spots such as Middletown, Wilmington, and Dover. And how about southern Delaware; anything happening in Sussex County?

Upon my research, I also observed that the healthcare industry seems pretty strong in DE.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Delaware adds jobs - unemployment rate takes a dip

Sussex is fastest-growing county in Delaware

I would love to know what you found that identifies Wilmington as a "hot spot."

Well, Pocopsonite, Wilmington is one of the top corporate capitals of the US. I've observed that the banks are hiring again, too. (It used to be that almost anybody could get an entry-level job with MBNA and the like. Then those jobs became competitive. Now they're back to hiring people with little to no experience again, which bodes well for those with some experience).

Also just personal observation, but young professionals are starting to really move to Wilmington. And not just Trolley Square. Places like 9th street, downtown, that no young professional would touch with a ten foot pole 10 years ago. Gentrification has been a little slow to reach Wilmington, and I doubted it would ever happen, but I see signs of it now. Not just the Buccini Pollen group buying up properties, but actual people.
