As for a redneck, that happens to me when I get a sunburn and I always get a sunburn when I wear sandals. That is what you mean right?

[quote=Piccola123;47690981He worries about the Lewes area being not as "cultured" I guess you could say. Can anyone chime in on that? I think he is imagining it to be somewhat like the stereotypical south and worries about our kids growing up to be stereotypically southern or something like a redneck.[/QUOTE]

Can you define your definition of "a stereotypical southerner"
and a "redneck", and please do share how you think that differs from diversity be it in New Jersey or the Carolinas.

Just an update, we got the chance to stay over and immerse ourselves in April as best we could for a few days and husband admitted he was spouting nonsense and loved it and could really see us there!

Unfortunately his job used to be one in which he could work from anywhere but that looks like it is changing too, the company is reorganizing. We probably have to stay in Bergen county now but for the record, all the disparaging nonsense he said one night was completely wrong and I am glad to hear him recant this no matter where we live. Thanks for all who replied before too. Love Lewes!

Sorry you won't be relocating until the job situation settles down, but best of luck. Glad to hear that you enjoyed Lewes, we love it here.
