Thinking of relocating and retiring g to Seaford, DE but not familiar with the area. Some demographics say “F” rating for crime, can anyone who is in this area give me some more info? Was looking for some land around me and quiet, am I looking in wrong area? Thx in advance, MR

What motivates you to retire in Seaford, if you are unfamiliar about the area? There are an almost endless number of small towns on Delmarva, many nicer than Seaford. If we knew the answer to this question, we might be better able to determine if Seaford is a good fit for you.

Nevertheless, regarding crime, there is a lot of drug trafficking in western Sussex County, which accounts for the bulk of the crime. Unless you are seeking this out, crime should not be a big issue for you. My parents have lived in Seaford for over 60 years and have never encountered any crime outside of one bicycle stolen from their front yard.
