sarachandra,

Since no one has answered your post, I'll give it a shot.

As far as good apartments in Wilmington, it depends on where you mean in Wilmington. There is the city of Wilmington, then there is the area around the city that is also considered Wilmington. Look into the Trolley Square area if you plan to move to the city. If you are considering outside of the city, you will need to narrow down your location. The commute to the city from the suburbs is not that far.
I'm not sure about rent, but you get what you pay for. It's safe to assume more crimes occurs around lower rental apartments. You might want to consider renting a townhouse too.

According to Senator Biden, there is an increasing Indian population in Delaware...(you can google the rest of his comment). I'm not sure if you mean Native American or from India; however, if you are from India and are Hindu, try contacting the Hindu Temple Association 302-235-7020. They maybe able to assist you regarding Indian communities.
Now if you're Native American, I have no information for you. Maybe those in the southern part of the State can help.

Good Luck

I've lived in many suburban apartments around the area, and by far, the best deal is Greenville Place if you need easy access to the city without living in the city. It's about 4 miles north of the city. It is a very diverse community, by the way. Rent here runs from $850 for 1 bedroom up to $1500 for a 3 bedroom townhouse.

Whatever you choose, if you want a nice, quiet apartment expect to pay $900 to $1400 for a 2 bedroom, unless you go "luxury" in the city or the riverfront. Then expect to pay $1500 and up. (Subtract about $100 for 1 bedroom.) There are also rentals within the city, and as Baconator said, you get what you pay for. And just from my experience, the largest Indian populations are in Newark and the suburbs of Wilmington, not much in the city itself.

I am looking for a diverse community with great blue ribbon schools. My teenagers are very sociable and would like for them to be able to be in a safe environment. We need to be in an area with nearby stores and mall. Travel to NJ and Philly need to be 30 minutes or less. I prefer to spend 1,300 or less to rent a home or townhouse. We have a dog 39 lbs. I need to be in the area June 30. Any suggestions?

Smile Wilmington Relocation

My teenagers love horseback riding. Are there any riding stables in the area?

You'd probably do better to start a new thread with a relevant title rather than piggy-backing off this old thread. And the general answer to your question is yes, but I don't know the names of any of them. An internet search would probably reveal some specific stables.
