Harrington is a nice little town. Just be ready to adjust your driving habits when the fair is in town. Also be aware of the train depot there. May hinder driving times. Other than that it's not a bad town.

Hey Viki! We'll be passing your way Friday; kids are out of school so we're heading to the beach. We'll keep an eye out for your retriever! We hope to get a golden soon; my favorite!

Mary

Why would anyone buy in Bridgeville? There is nothing there! I looked at a home in Heritage Shores and they were going to give me a great deal, but the place is in the middle of NO WHERE! I am retiring to DELAWARE and I want to be near shopping, the beach and doctors. Sorry this spot is for the people looking to pack it in early.

Harrington is a nasty, crooked little town. They actually have a speed trap for out-of-towners--nice. Here's how it works: When driving to the casino the last turn in town is a right hand turn, the road you are on is 35 mi the one you turn onto has a small 25 mi and hour sign that it is easy to miss as there is a 35 and 45 mi sign right behind it. Also there are few houses, and an industrial plant on the left. The cop hides in the grass strip in front of the industrial plant and points the radar gun towards the turn. The reason for this is that in order to avoid a ticket you would have to slow as you make the turn to below 25 and most people are not even aware of it in such a rural area. It is a nasty little trick from a lousy little town. I for one will not only not drive to Harringtons I won't go to another casino or any other function in Delaware. I they gotta stoop this low to get revenue they're too pathetic for me. If they're scammers in this I would hate to see what the rest of the town is like. I recommend anywhere else in the state. (Dover is very nice).

Huh? Slight contradiction here.
Could be a disgruntled traffic ticket recipient.

Default true slight contradiction

Yes I was a speeder. It was a lousy little trick. I paid the fine $166.00 deserved what I got, still a lousy little mickey mouse trap. Rumor has it the town makes a ton of money from it--don't know for sure. Now as to the contradiction, simply because I do not intend to go into the state does not make the whole state worthless. Dover is a pretty nice middle size town (middle size for Delaware) and there are PLENTY of nice towns in Delaware. I just don't appreciate harrington.

As different posters stated, there are many small towns where the speed limit goes from 50 to 40 to 35 to 25.
Be warned......you can get a ticket.

Camden is another place DH got a ticket for going 30 in a 25 MPH zone.

It's been said, and not sure if this is it but they are out in droves the end of the month. Yep, there is a quota to achieve.

Just obey the speed limit and you should have no problem.
If it says 25.......go 25 or 22!
