Hi everyone,

Just wanted to thank everyone who answered my queries over the past year as I prepared to move to DE. I'm thrilled to be here - it's so beautiful, although as hot as I expected , and everyone is so nice and helpful. Newark is a great mix of small-town - with the diversity of the university and nearby corporations thrown in - and suburban, since it is so close to major metro centers. I'm happy to be a new Delawarian!

If you haven't already done so, stop in for dinner at Caffe Gelato on Main Street. Sign up for their e-mails, include your home address, and you will receive lots of free dinner post cards in the mail. We get them for birthdays, half-birthdays, anniversaries, etc. While a little pricey, the food is very good. Make reservations and ask to sit in a booth.

Welcome to DE, katreese! We've only ventured to Newark a few times in the year we've been here, but what we saw, it IS beautiful! We were near U-Del, and I had a heck of a time not getting myself lost with the twisting, turning, winding streets!

Please keep posting, and share your experiences (all things new again, right?) from "north of the canal"!

Mary
