We are searching for a lost Pembroke Welsh Corgi - red and white in color - 3 years old. She is from New Jersey, but was lost in Elkton, Maryland on June 8, 2009. She is not familiar with the area and may have traveled into the northern Delaware area since it is so close to Elkton. We are heartbroken so if you should see her please give us a call at mod cut - please do not post phone numbers. She has a little white "S" symbol below her ears on the back of her neck. Thank you so much.

Where in Elkton do you think she was? Have you contacted the Cecil County Humane or Delaware SPCA? I'll be in Elkton tomorrow and will be on the lookout.

Call every single police station in the area. And every single animal control unit in the area. Call every couple of days, don't count on them to communicate with each other well. Put ads in all of the the local papers, dogs can travel pretty far. Good luck, I hope your dog had an ID collar on. Losing a dog is one of life's cruelest heartbreaks.

Also contact Pembroke Welsh Corgi Rescue - they'll be on the alert for her if a dog meeting her description comes in. Would also post in on Craigslist Pet section and Lost/Found section in both areas (free listings), offering a reward will help too. Sometimes local papers will run Lost/Found ads for free. Posting flyers w/ photos of her in the area might help too (some ppl may not know what a PWC looks like so pictures will help), would also send to all area vets. Best of luck in getting her back soon.
