What is the best place to move in Delaware for a young 40 proffessional mixed couple with two young children. My business is in Christiana. I currently travel from Columbia Md which is probable the best place for any mixed couples to live but the drive is becoming to much. When I travel around Delaware I dont see couples like us I black wife white.

HI drob......funny....that is the first 4 initials of my last name. They used to call hubby....drobie. LOL

We live in Magnolia, Kent Co. there are many around that I have notice and no one thinks anything of it.
We had a interracial couple in our community. They were very accepted by everyone.

Good luck to you and your family Hope you find your nitch.

In my experience the same holds true --what Elizamary's experience is. Near Chrstiana, in New Castle County it is more cosmopolitan (big research headquarters for multinational companies like Dupont, ICI (now Astra Zeneca), Hercules and ..... the University of Delaware are located there) so it has been always like that (I have been here for the last 40 years) - and thanks to all the out - of - staters moving into lower two counties the residents there (the natives) are getting exposed to a variety of new paople which helps in the acceptance level.

So in short, you can feel relieved to get that concern off your back.

Interracial couple are seen everywhere from Dover, north to Wilmington. Delaware's minority population is large by national standards. In northern Delaware it is not an issue.
