I have had gum issues for years it's getting worse with age. Probably my fault as I'm an on and off flossier. Anyway my wife had a implant and the gum was receding away from it so the oral surgeon has her rinsing with Clorox 1/2 teaspoon with 4 oz of water. It fixed her gum and now they have me rinsing with the stuff it doesn't taste great but it sure fixed up my gum disease my pockets are back to 2-3's now even with daily flossing I was not able to reverse without a deep cleaning which I have had 4 times in last 20 years.

If you want to read about more about it lots internet information about it some studies have stated household bleach was 48% more effective then rinse wash products.

Wow, NO WAY would I put bleach in my mouth!!! I can't even inhale the stuff without becoming ill!

I do however, add a small bit of hydrogen peroxide to my water pik and this definitely helps gum issues for me.

Again...start swishing (pulling) with cold-pressed, non filtered organic coconut oil for 20 minutes/day. I really don't want household bleach solution in my mouth either!!!

One doesn't need to spend 20 min daily, I sure don't. The CO TP brushing 2-3 times daily does it for me.

I don't see me using clorox in my mouth but a podiatrist told a friend to soak her fungal toenail in clorox 2 times day and it took care of the fungus. But that's the foot.

Uhm you mix a very small amount of bleach with water and it works very well as an irrigant for people who have periodontal disease. What you don't want to do is swish with full strength bleach. Swishing with Hydrogen peroxide is actually NOT beneficial because it hinders healing.

I don't "swish" with hydrogen peroxide, I just add a tiny amount to my waterpik. I have never heard of it "hindering healing." I find that hard to believe, over using chlorine bleach....

I have started using Clorox in my hydro floss twice a day. I put 1/2 teaspoon in a qt of water. This fills the tank on the hydro floss up. I then use a tank with a mouthwash in it. My gums are doing a lot better. My dentist told me to do this.
