Hi! I have a gum infection but my dentist told me that there’s nothing wrong with my tooth. I went to an Endodontist and she told me she thought it might be the problem with the gums or root fracture. Anyone experienced this? How will you find out if you have root fracture vs gum disease. I set an appointment with my Periodontist already but I’m just curious if it’s possible to have a root fracture even though your tooth is healthy and don’t have any decay or cavity? Thanks in advance.

It may depend on how long the gum infection has been present. In injury to the gum could become infected. Infected gums will eventually damage healthy teeth. The root fracture also might be recent enough that no decay has formed...yet.
