Neither my friend nor myself floss our teeth-she uses a metal instrument like the dentist uses. I'm looking on Amazon and it looks like they are all the same.
Does anybody use this?

Target (& probably Walmart & other drugs stores) sell that 3-piece dental hygiene/cleaning kit which includes the round small mirrow & 2 metal hook-looking picks called the Professional Dental Kit by DenTek (link below). I have it & use it to prolong having to go to dentists (or ANY doctors for that matter). I do have & use dental floss more often though.

You need to be careful using these sharp instruments in your own mouth - daily flossing would be much more recommended:
