I am 37 and never had them out but I find my back 8 teeth very difficult to floss. By 8 teeth I mean two on each side, top and bottom.

I was told it was because I never had my wisdom teeth removed. The dentist said it's not worth getting it now, but since it's almost impossible to floss those teeth and I have had quite a few cavities in that area so far as a result, would it be worth it though?

You only have 4 wisdom teeth. Try a waterpik type flosser if you haven't already. I wouldn't get them removed unless they are causing problems. If the gums are healthy you should keep em IMO.

I use a water pic, but the dentist told me that the water pick was not near as effective as flossing, hence why I've been getting cavities there.

So, listen to your dentist and FLOSS them! I'd never pull functional teeth just because I don't want to bother cleaning them. I have all my wisdom teeth and I just became eligible for Medicare. Yes, they're a bit more difficult to clean around. Many many years ago at a routine cleaning, the dentist suggested spending more time on them with my toothbrush in addition to flossing, so I've done that ever since. Mine have never caused trouble with my other teeth and no one has ever suggested/recommended pulling them.

But I can't get any floss in between them anymore. What do I do then?

How about something like floss threaders that go under the teeth? I use these on 3 tooth permanent bridges I have and they work well. https://www.amazon.com/Bridge-Aid-Th...a-560710053577

There are different types of floss. Some of my teeth are really tight too. My dentist gave me a sample of flossing ribbon that is thinner than the more common string floss. Waxed floss is thicker than unwaxed.

I have tried different types but still have not located one that will fit yet. I tried non-waxed but it rips apart a lot easier if I attempt to try to put in between my teeth. I was told that it's more sensitive because it's non-waxed, but because of that, it cannot handle the job without ripping.

If you are getting cavities on the wisdom teeth then just get them out.

Not a great idea. I have 2 of my wisdom teeth and I had a tooth pulled in front of a wisdom tooth. This was years ago, so implants weren't a thing, but having the wisdom tooth allowed me to get a bridge with the wisdom tooth acting as one of the anchors. If you can't brush your teeth use a waterpik don' get your teeth pulled
