That's not true either. I have root canals for nearly 30 years and still counting, with the same crown, and its a molar! My anecdotes and your anecdotes aside, most root canals last many years, more than 10 and waaaay more than 3 or 7

I had a root canal procedure with crown placed in the 1990's that's still doing just fine. I also have an implant with crown from around 2005-ish that hasn't needed any work done to it since it was placed.
