Visit to the dentist and these were suggested to us and they work well.

Interesting...does it take any longer than using floss? And is it hard picking out the best size for yourself?

The dentist said they can be used over and over and there are small bristles on the end. He flossed my teeth with it while we watched with a mirror. We like it over the older method. One size for everyone it seems and the twisting of the bristles get a cleaner floss in my opinion.

I've used them for several years after a hygienist suggested them. They are great! I keep one in my purse, too, for those awful moments in a restaurant when you realize that the garden salad is still with you and there's no budging it. Much easier to use in the public restroom than the string. They also don't spray debris on the mirror like string floss does, or at least that's the way it works for me. I like that I can bend them to get into the tough spots, too.

Great suggestion howard555!

May have to give them a try! And they work well on your back teeth too?

Yes! I have to bend them to get in there as the angle can be a bit tricky. I like the brand "GUM" that howard555 suggested the best. My last package was the Aim brand and the brushes are a more flared shape rather than straight. The Aim brushes sort of resemble a Christmas tree shape which is a bit too wide for my more crowded teeth. I'm trimming the brushes to be straight but will be sure to get the straight GUM ones the next time.

If you use the same brush for all your teeth you will be carrying plaque from one tooth to the next, so I hope you are cleaning the brush before flossing each tooth. It's easier to use the string floss and not use the same section each time without cleaning it, imo.

Good point. Thanks for mentioning that. I rinse mine after every space because of this. I also use a WaterPik in my attempt to cover all the areas.
