Which are the better Subaru dealers to deal with in Denver metro for a new car? I'm not in the mood to play games or deal with bait and switches, anyone have particularly good experience with a dealer?

In my experience they are all pretty bad but the one up north off of 84th? Shortline is the absolute worst. Very sleazy management and sales people, quick to bring out the old 4 square etc. A place to avoid.

Not in the Denver metro area, but I have several friends who have had very good things to say about Flower Motors in Montrose. Long-time dealership with a good local reputation.

This may be further than you want to go. I haven't dealt with the Subaru side, but when I bought my acura from Flatirons in Boulder, they were decent to work with.

I am a used Subaru dealer and service center in the Commerce City area. [ mod cut ]

For new Subi's the absolute best is Heuberger Motors in Colorado Springs. When I was an independant broker I would use them for all my new Subaru deals. If your willing to hang in there in making the deal (and you need to do this at ANY franchised dealership) they will beat any other around. They have a goal to be the #1 in new car volume each month for Colorado, and they will do more than any other dealership to accomplish this goal.

Surprising there are so many complaints considering how many Subarus are here. Seems like 1 out of every 3 cars on the road is an Outback.

I bought a Subaru upon moving here 5 years ago, and it's been a champ. My experience with GO SUBARU in Golden (originally Elway something-or-lother where I bought the car) has been horrendous. I started going to Shortline and it has been waaaay better than the people in Golden.

I purchased my STi from shortline and they were decent enough.

I ended up going with Go Subaru Arapahoe. I basically got a quote from each of the internet managers of a very specific trim to compare apples with apples. Ended up with a pretty good deal even though I had to threaten to walk out twice. The hardest part is when they keep going to their 'boss' to get approval for every little thing. The great thing is you can charge the entire balance on your credit card, which is a nice extra reward.

I bought my Subaru 6 years ago from Burt (now Groove) after looking all over town. The sales person is no longer there so I can't refer you to anyone specific, but I had a very positive experience. I still take my car there to be serviced -- they've done a great job. On the rare occasion when someone made a mistake, they took care of it quickly and to my satisfaction. I'd buy from them again.
