My company has asked me to relocate to Denver. I have a teenage son and was wondering about any gangs and such in schools. Also not to come across racist but there seems to be alot of Hispanics there, any issues with that aspect? Seems like where I am now Nashville Tn all of the younger ones are in gangs and into bad dealings. Like I said not trying to isolate but want to make an informed decision.

I'm from Chicago and I personally think Denver is extremely tame... I imagine it has to do with what neighborhoods you live in. I've lived in Washington park, and now I'm in Congress Park/Cherry Creek North. Both of those hoods are safe. Congress Park is the better hood as far as schools, walking to restaurants, parks, gym... Etc. Wash Park is nice, but the houses aren't as well built as CPark. Wash Park has the park and that's about it. I haven't seen any gang hits in Congress Park, but I have in Wash Park. Hope that helps. Sluggo

Thanks Sluggo65. I hope nobody judges what Im asking here. Just what we have here are more into the drugs and gang banging and harassing to any woman especially blondes which my wife and daughter are both blondes. Daughter wont be moving with me she is in college here but I want her to feel safe when she visits.

Its not definite but teaching on the college level. Don't want to jinx myself by saying where until it is solid. lol Still have alot of details to work out before considering like cost of living and such, utility cost, housing because I would want to lease until I can find a home for us.

Denver seems like a safe city overall, and I haven't seen too many areas where crime is a major problem. If you are considering a particular area, I'd recommend visiting a local police station and asking them about the crime rates in those neighborhoods.

You don't have to tell us who, but telling us where is very helpful.

Do you have a zip code for your new office location? What does your teenager like to do? What do you like to do?
