So why didn't you just point that out in the first place!?!

Well, that was fun!!
I thought I did and was being clear - just show's the pitfalls of trying to communicate through internet message boards.

I think we all think we are clear but sometimes aren't. Funny too, but we just illuminated that the parking in downtown Denver can be very confusing.

That's too much ****ing **** to read after you've spent 30 minutes during a Rockies game trying to find street parking...

I still say parking in downtown is a nightmare. I think along with the 'STOP POLICE TERRORISM' protests earlier this afternoon we should also protest: "STOP PARKING AUTHORITY TERRORISM" as well. At this point I will only park in non-metered 1 or 2 hour spots.

My friend got the green sticker on the driver's side window because he wasn't parked right. Give me a break...

So Cruising, where are you finding these non-metered spots downtown?? I have a friend who parks at a non-meter and then walks to work, downtown, but he is most definitely not parking downtown.

Remember that time when "terrorism" used to actually mean something besides a disagreement of opinions? Yeah... that was great.

Default Parking Magistrate

It would be interesting to determine how much money the Denver Parking Magistrate brings in per month for parking tickets. My bet is astronomical. It is good that some have been fortunate enough to never get tickets or to only get tickets you find yourself at fault for. For all others however especially the person who received a ticket due to a faulty meter and has a picture of this- you should definitely go down to the Parking "Magistrate" and contest. Honestly I think the parking situation is outrageous and I don't think I'm alone. It's a result of poor city planning, population density, not enough parking spots, difficult to see and read signs and disproportionate fines and punishments.

The City of Denver issued 652,094 parking tickets in 2010.

I agree, Denver's parking setup is the most inefficient, sneaky system I've ever seen.

Like I said before, I used to never get parking tickets when I lived in Florida and even other cities. The only time I would is if I was too hungover to move the car the next morning and forgot or I accidentally missed putting money in the meter.

Because of this, I have pretty much limited my time downtown and absolutely will not park at any meter. I mean, I've never lived in a city where I had to spend 20 minutes reading the sign that says NO PARKING followed by a million friggin conditions. 2 hour limit. No parking after 2 am. No 2nd Tuesdays.

That's atleast $652,000. At best it's about $16.3 million dollars for every person that paid the $25. Which I doubt they did.
