Hey all!

I've been living in Denver (city park apartment) for about 1 year with my fiance/wife. We are moving to Lowry in a few months and renting a condo for 24 months.

After the condo we are going to want to start a family and buy a house...our first house!

We have been dreaming and doing some initial looking. We love how new the Lowry area is and how the construction feels modern, clean, and solid. We also love the parks and community feel.

We spent some time touring the new Stapleton construction and really loved that area as well.

Our biggest problem is that we won't be able to afford those areas right away

Our requirements are:

  • 3 bed
  • 2.5 bath
  • Office
  • modern big kitchen
  • yard
  • 2 car garage
  • new(er) construction (~2005)
  • Good size >2000 sf
  • Close to airport (no more than 30 minutes)
Does anyone have any neighborhoods were we could find these things? Our budget would be less than $250,000.

Who knows what life or real estate will be like in 24 months.

My crystal ball is on back order.

What about newer neighborhoods that might be in my price point? Those that exist and those that are going to start construction....

Your requirements are really not that difficult to find. Since, you want to be within 30 minutes of the airport--that narrows your search. You could look just to the north and northwest in the vicinity of Brighton 80601 and 80602. These areas have many homes that are newer and below 250,000. The commute on the hwy. would be 30 minutes or less.

I would suggest Brighton. It is a growing and improving community that has many good services and a sense of a community. It has a new hospital and is developing some of the older areas of the Downtown business district. Brighton is certainly benefiting by being very close to the airport and has developed numerous businesses that need a good transportation hub. In addition, it is the county seat of fast growing Adams County.
