Maybe the spouse works in the Springs. My wife and I had this same scenario when we first moved to CO. Castle Rock was the best option for both of us.

I don't understand why people get so concerned over other people's commutes?

To the OP,

I would say that the Meadows is probably the best of the 3 options followed by Plum Creek. Founders can add 10-15 on your commute.

I commuted from Castle Rock (Sapphire Point) to Technology Way (off of Belleview) and it would take me 30 minutes (door to door.) I commuted early (6-6:30am) and left around 4pm.

It's about quality of life, preservation of the earth, conservation of resources.

I have had so many conversations with people who moved to "live the dream" that became a nightmare because of the abnormal commute.

You want to hear the story of the couple who moved to Conifer to live the mountain lifestyle dream that gave birth on 285 - because she was stuck at home and her hubby had to leave downtown Denver to pick her up to get her to the hospital?

Or how about the guy who is brain damaged because he ran off the road after falling asleep at the wheel?

What about the couple that divorced after 2 years of the Denver to CS commute lifestyle.....

Don't complicate your life any more than you need to.

These are all ridiculous examples. What about the guy that was hit by a car as a pedestrian because he bought a home within walking distance from his office? The opposite end of your ridiculous extreme.

How about providing some insight to the OP instead of judging him/her for decisions that he/she has to make and of which you have no knowledge. Moving closer to Denver could complicate life even more.

Sorry to the OP for the brief hijacking...
