Hello
I'm a current restaurant owner trying to get a vibe on who likes live music in the county of Denver. I'm thinking about incorporating this into my theme and would like to get a pre-response before putting out the money for the expense. I would generally like to get responses from people in the Denver county or surrounding areas but all responses are welcome. Please, if you would, include what kind of music you would enjoy to hear. Thanks for your time.

I like live music during the daytime on weekends like at carnivals, fairs, festivals - and where they sell beer - cheap. Too hard to go out to clubs for music, I fall asleep and I'm too cheap to get babysitters for three kids. Would be interested in classic rock cover bands: Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Doors, etc. Saw something like this in Parker on Mainstreet 12-4 Sunday afternoons.

Providing a venue for live music is a great idea and surely will increase your business, especially if you promote the music. You could do all kinds of different music, on different themed nights: an open mic night where anyone can sign up to perform (usually acoustic acts), a blues and/or bluegrass night, rock and alternative bands, and anything else you think might bring people in.

I think Denver could use more world music, esp. African and Latin styles.

Default We need you!

Hi - I'm a drummer also busy with young kids and not playing in a band right now. I, personally, am pleased that I hear the least about country in Denver. Jazz and R&B is taking off - Dazzle is a good club for jazz fusion. El Chapultapec, downtown, has amazingly good local, old school jazz talent. Surf the web for last week's, Denver Post, local band review. There's good variety of all styles. I've spent a lot of time in New York and Europe, particularly London, where there are always amateur acts every night that are better than pros elsewhere. Bring it on! I'll check you out. Sumisu
