My 20 something YO is looking for a rental. he has a dog. he found something that fit the bill in zip code 80205.... East 35th St. It seems to be an industrial area. I was wondering if anyone could comment on this neighborhood or suggest an alternative renatl area that does not cost an arm and a leg?

Define arm and a leg in $$.

You guys should go visit the area together if possible, I was just there a few weeks ago. I would think that most of the population at-large wouldn't consider any part of E 35th Ave within 80205 "safe", but what each person can handle varies of course.

80205 is kind of odd because, in my opinion, parts of it have an extreme mix of new and old, expensive and cheap. If it's in the part that seems like an industrial area/warehouse district, the place may be one of those expensive condo/loft buildings. Go check it out!

Default Data are always helpful

You can compare Police District 2 map
http://www.denvergov.org/Portals/337/documents/2011/11d2.pdf (broken link)
with the other districts at
2011 Police Districts Detail

East 35th Ave is definitely a seedier neighborhood than average.
