We're from the New England and we just moved here, I was wondering if anyone who knows the Boston area could recommend a furniture store similar to Jordan's Furniture that we had in the NorthEast. Something that has lots of option yet is also great price-wise. We've checked out Crate & Barrel as well as West Elm, while their stuff looks great it's so overprice for what we need.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

The short answer is NO.

American Furniture Warehouse = DOMINANT local chain with low prices and low-quality furniture. Jake Jabs has run every other chain out of town.

IKEA = low prices and low quality. Typically modern look.

All traditional furniture stores are trying to avoid war with AWF and so quality (in theory) and prices are higher.

You can try Furniture Row (Sofa Mart, Denver Mattress, Oak Express, Bedroom Expressions). They are a locally owned chain. I have had no problems with them.

Default I love American Furniture Warehouse

I am not familiar with the store in Boston but you should definitely check out American Furniture Warehouse. I love their selection and their prices. I have tons of their stuff in my house and have since I moved here over 17 yrs ago. It is in great shape and good quality. I can't buy anything with particle board because I'm highly allergic to formaldehyde so all my stuff from American Furniture Warehouse is solid wood. Since AFW has all price points the very cheapest stuff is of course cheaper stuff. But if you look over what you plan to buy very well and are happy with the quality you should be happy with it over the long term. I have tended to buy on the cheap side but not the very cheapest.

I would say American Furniture Warehouse and Furniture Row are great suggestions and comparable to Jordans.
