I will be moving to the Denver area in June. I am 60 and disabled which has led to me not being the best owner of my shepherd. Plus, apts. won't take a big dog. I have another smaller dog that I am taking, however, if I had to walk both dogs I would never make it.

When I bought this guy, Murphy, 6 years ago he was a "forever" dog as all pets should be. Over time my health went south and now I have terrible spine problems. I had to quit my nursing job and live on SSI, which does not allow for vet visits and doggie medication. Believe me I am quilt stricken over having to give my big old buddy up!

If you or you know of a good person/family for Murphy let me know. He is from a registered pair of white shepherds, he has the papers, but I never kept him registered, by papers anyway. He is neutered, and has current shots. He does have some hip arthritis, which is common in shepherds. He does very well with the medications from the vet, but I can't afford to keep making vet visits to get them.
He is good with people, takes a little patience when placing him with other dogs. He has never bit or even showed aggression to anyone. He is spoiled, meaning he sleeps inside and will get on your couch if you let him. I am sure there are many other people that can give him a better home than me.

I am having a hard time getting around myself so he is getting ignored a lot.

Anyone who can give this fellow a good home, email me. earthchoices at gmail. I can deliver also. I live way out between Cripple Creek and Guffey. I plan to take him to Denver and leave him with my daughter around May 4th-5th. That way it is easier to take a look at him.

I have contacted the shepherd rescues, and they are looking for a foster home for him, but perhaps somebody would like a big friend who is reading this!!!
