My family will be moving to the denver area at the end of this summer. We currently live in the dv area, where there is a large asian/korean community. Are there areas in denver or the surrounding suburbs that have this type of demographics? Primarily we are hoping to find a school that teaches korean language and h
An area that has good shopping/dining.

Greater Denver is anglo, hispanic, black, etc. in that order.
We have some Korean businesses in Old Town Aurora.
We have 1 H-Mart and soon 2.
There are Korean churches everywhere.

Do not move here expecting the same vibe as greater DC.

There are a number of Korean restaurants, groceries & spas on Havana between Alameda and Parker & also on Parker between Havana & Peoria. These areas are in Aurora, but quite accessible from Denver.

I don't know if there are residential areas that have a high density of Koreans.

Thank you for your input. I am in no way expecting the same "vibe" as dc. Simply looking to have access to some of the same culture and entertainment that we enjoy here.

My mother who is Korean wants to send my daughter to Korean language school on Saturdays. I am not sure exactly where it is but I do know it exists. You should not have a problem finding shopping or dining.

Evan, could you please find out more information about that school? That is exactly what we are looking for. Food is pretty easy to find, but education is proving more difficult.

In Denver there is a small Korean community at DU, and a number of Korean students and families in the campus area. There are also two Korean churches on University in that neighborhood. The DU area is one of the most multi-cultural in the city.

Havana south of Alameda in Aurora is definitely where the highest concentration of Korean restaurants and stores are located in the Denver metro.

Based on my visit to HMart yesterday, they're no shortage of Korean culture here. I was in Aurora.
