Sounds like a preëmptive strike to avoid honoring the warranty.

It is recommended that you acclimate some wood fllooring. I know when I finished several of my rentals in bamboo, the planks were set in a bedroom for six weeks with a portable humidifier before installation. I believe Oak,Cherry wood are much more forgiving and don't require humidity treatment during the winter months, but just living without a humifier in general Colorado can be annoying and unpleasant. I check weather underground for both Denver and Palm Springs quite a bit;(scary) not too succinctly different this time of year when observing humidity values.

And you are checking outside humidity values. If you heat up air, its humidity drops so the same air that is 50% humidity at 32 degrees drops to around 12% if you warm it up to 70 degrees. This doesn't account for additional dryness caused by a forced air system or moisture added by living in a house.
