I just found out about this project in the works. I'm incredibly excited about it, hopefully to be a part of it. I think something like this is amazing! Anyone else heard of it?

1. I presume you are referring to this. http://frontrangeecotown.yolasite.com/

2. I never trust anyone who cannot afford $4/mo for website hosting.

Thanks for the link. I had never heard of it.

After just briefly going through the web site I think it is an interesting concept and likely great for some, if done properly. I'd be really interested in parts of it but I would never join in right at the beginning. I think it has too much potential to go really wrong. Sort of like an HOA on steroids with a strong element of big brother thrown in. However I have a strong visceral reaction against some neighborhoods where the neighbors all gang together and self congratulate themselves on how wonderful they are and how alike they are. I'm just not a 'joiner'. But I love alot of the independent concepts that the neighborhood is based on.

This sounds like communal living.. I've read about other places like this in other parts of the country.

Although I like the idea, I don't know if I could live like this. I'm social and spend a lot of time with my neighbors, but this sounds like too much pressure to participate. I'd feel like people were going to yell at me if one day they saw me walking into my house with a couple plastic King Soopers bags.
