Chicken poop is great compost, so 9 out of 10 chicken owners throw it under hay and mix it into their compost. You'll never smell anything. The roosters are the loud chickens, so no worries there either. I keep chickens for laying, and I slaughter and stew them after they stop laying. Just give it a chance

I wouldn't worry about it. Denver is not a third world country. The likelihood of you moving into a random house and finding that your neighbor is raising chickens is very, very, unlikely to begin with. The (relatively) few folks that do raise chickens, typically do so for the eggs/fertilizer and will, in all likelihood, take good care of their (flock, brood?) i.e. well insulated coop, fenced area, minimal noise and impact to any surrounding neighbors. You are more likely to have issues with barking dogs.
