Consider me a bit dense but what is all this animosity between Coloradans and Texans???

I don't get it; is it the attitude, politics, style of dress between the two...etc.

Someone, shine some light on this for me.

Story goes that (at least historically) there's always a few Texans who come up here and throw their money around like jerks, or go to ski country and act the jerk on the slopes even if they can't ski, etc. I guess we could call it the drunk cowboy stereotype, similar to the drunk sailor in port stereotype, similar to the drunk soldier on leave stereotype, similar to the drunk college boy on spring break stereotype, similar to the .....

Story goes that (at least historically) there's always a few Californians who move here and want to change COLO to be what they left behind, yadda yadda, and/or by selling their high-priced homes out there and bringing all that money here they drive up the price of real estate here. Who knows. Who cares. Any excuse will do when people want to be unhappy with group X.

Mostly it's just sour grapes, or jealousy, or the usual rivalry stuff.

Everyone's welcome here, don't let any of that old crap sway your thinking. If you move here just get rid of your TX license plates asap and no one will know the difference. MOST of us are transplants anyway so those old animosities are dying out quickly.

That's all the discussion I'm going to allow on this topic as it always turns into a flame game and I'm just not going to waste my mod time on the ninnies who gotta keep the crap going.
