Hi,

I will be moving to Englewood, CO for my husband's job in Western Union office. We have a one year old with us and a dog. I am looking to move into a nice apartment community with about $1300 rent for a 2 bedroom.
Can someone suggest a nice & peaceful neighborhood (suburban kind)?
I do not want the daily commute to be more than 15-20 mins.
Also, how is the traffic like up there. We are moving from Nashville where the commute is pretty easy, no heavy traffic.
Thanks for your any insights and help you can provide.

Englewood is a relatively small working class suburb between Denver and Littleton. It's no where near where your husband would be working. It's not a bad place to live, but it might not be what you are looking for. You might want to consider something farther southeast. If you wanted to live in Englewood though, you should be able to find an apartment for $1,300. The commute would be about 20 min. or more.

Is this 12500 Mt Belford Ave, Englewood, CO ‎ the address for hubby's work? western union englewood - Google Maps
It's in a business park called Meridan, south of Inverness. Closer to Douglas County than the Englewood city center.

Meridan is in Douglas County. Englewood is in Arapahoe County about 12 -13 miles away.

The Windsor at Meridian is five minutes from WU off Peoria and Lincoln. Concentrate your search around this area, as well as the apartment complexes along Park Meadows Drive between Lincoln and Yosemite. The ZIP for WU is 80112, which shows up as Englewood. The areas you'll be looking in are actually Meridian and Lone Tree. You could get away with a commute from Parker as well. $1300 for a 2 bedroom will be difficult to come by, but if you can up your budget $100 - $200, you'll be in good shape.

Unfortunately for you, the area where your husband will be working and the nearby neighborhoods have some of the worst traffic in the metro area.

All of the roads in the area get very congested during rush hours, with Arapahoe Road and the area near Park Meadows Mall being particularly bad. Your best bet for an apartment would be in either Lone Tree or Parker. Expect to spend about $1500 or so for the average 2 bed apartment. The area is very nice and schools are good.

Yes this is the address @ 2bindenver. I don't have to live in Englewood. It can be any area with resonable commute to this address. Any good neighborhoods that you can suggest.

I work over near Park Meadows/Meridian. I can't figure out why it's called Englewood. Anyways, 80112 is a nice, safe area. Arapahoe is bad for traffic but Parker wouldbe reasonable. There's nice places near Lincoln. Lone Tree is more expensive but very nice. Anywhere in the DTC (Greenwood Village) is nice, prices still pretty high though. A couple years ago I was looking at a two bedroom there for $1200, prices have increased since then I'm sure though. That area is worth the money. It's safe, convenient for stores/etc, and you can take the light rail into the city.
