For anyone taking a trip up 285, JJ Madwell's in Aspen Park is top-notch. Excellent Italian food.

Also, DW's 285 Diner is incredible for breakfast.

Lyfe Kitchen in the Park Meadows Mall. The boys were still a bit hungry upon finishing their meal, but my daughter and I LOVED it! Surprised that they chose the mall interior for their first Denver location. I'd have thought they'd choose something in a more accessible site. In any case, I'm glad they're here. The family vegetarians plan to become regulars.

Syrup Cherry Creek. Bland breakfast, slow service, high prices. Don't do it.

Melting Pot in Littlefun. I can make better cheese dip/fondue than this overrated, overpriced, bland place.

I have a problem paying too much money for food I have to cook myself. The place is supposedly haunted.

Thank you, so do I. I remember going to a popular steakhouse where we lived in Missouri once, and you had to cook your own steak (it was optional, but most everyone did it). And not at your own table either mind you; I mean you had to go walk to the center of the restaurant, throw down your raw meat on the grill and stand there while it cooked. WTH?
