So my wife has been looking for a new job and she has attracted some attention from Denver based companies. We were wondering if you guys would be able to recommend a good neighborhood for us based on on background and what we're looking for. Here is a bit of info about us:

- I'm 29 and she's 27 and we're both from Pittsburgh. She works in Finance and I work in IT (I will be working from home most likely).
- We have family and friends already located in Denver
- There are no plans of us having kids ever, so schools and such are not a concern
- Our combined income is around $130k a year
- I love beer, coffee, concerts, movies, and going to the gun range
- Politics, sports, and the "Green Rush" aren't a priority for us
- I speak a bit of Spanish

What we're looking for:

- Rent in the $1,600 a month range for a place that allows 1 cat and had a parking space
- Walkable amenities (restaurants, entertainment, accessibility to public transit)
- We can deal with a little sketch if necessary but would prefer a safe area of course. In our current place we have bars on the windows so most places will be an upgrade, haha
- A neighborhood that's more urban and hip rather than surburban
- An ISP that doesn't suck

We're going to be visiting in late July but we wanted to send out some feelers to see where we should start to look. Thanks ahead of time!

Default Helpful, maybe

1. Denver Maps
2. Rental market is very tight. "See it, rent it"

Berkeley all the way baby.
The only minor problem is rentals are going by word of mouth.
