Hi, I work in Aurora but I've been living in Federal Heights for the past 2 years and my lease is up at the end of the month and I need to move out. It has been a disaster trying to find a place in Aurora who will accept my 4yr old German Shepard (who is absolutely friendly by the way). I would consider living anywhere around Denver if it meant I didn't have to give my sons dog up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you can't find a place to rent, maybe you can find a place to buy.

Have you tried sites like Padmapper or even Craigslist?

Depending on your price range I can recommend a few places that do allow GSDs. I have one and while it was difficult to find a place that accepts its easier than other breeds (pit bulls and bully like breeds who are mostly banned from Denver, Dobermans and Rotties that are pretty much excluded everywhere)

Basically you call properties in your price range and ask them about their breed specific policies.

I know a few places that accept GSDs: City Gate, The Yards, Skyline 1801, Uptown Square & Ballpark Lofts (both owned by Equity Apartment Properties and all their properties allow GSDs)

Hope that helps!
