Have two kids one is special needs with down syndrom and speech delay. He is in an all inclusive class with kids similar to his needs and gets other student interaction with student aids. I also have a child who is in regular private school. Looking for the best schools that will be closest to the schooling she gets in a private school setting in public school. We are moving from Albuquerque, NM to Denver or surrounding area in Colorado. I would like to start researching now so they will be set for a new school next year 2015/2016 year. My priority Will be for special needs and will make my move to accommodate the location for my son's schooling. Thank you for any that can help start pointing me in some directions.

We have a daughter with special needs. 8 years ago we moved to Louisville, near Boulder and we have been very pleased with the services she has received. Imagine Colorado is a great place to start. They provide services for all ages in Boulder and Broomfield County. Our Mission | Imagine! With Parent to Parent Colorado, you can get info from other parents similar to you. Parent to Parent Home There are good school districts in the immediate Denver area, but I can only tell you about our experience with the Boulder Valley School District. Boulder Valley School District Our daughter started in Elementary School and this past Spring she was able to "graduate" High School with her class. She will continue with BVSD in their Transitions Program until she's 21. I hope some of these links are helpful to you. Good Luck!
