My family will be moving to the Denver/Boulder area sometime within the next year. I presently have my elementary school children in a very high quality (10/10 on Great Schools rating) public school Dual Language (Spanish) program in a different state. As I research all the public school Dual Language programs/schools in the Denver/Boulder region, I am finding that they are all rated very low. Does anyone know if this is because these schools are truly struggling or if it is just because the standardized tests in Colorado are only given in English, so the test scores poorly reflect the educational level of many of the Spanish speakers in these schools? Also, if anyone has any recommendations for a Dual Language (Spanish) public school in the Denver/Boulder area, I would welcome your comments/recommendations. Thank you!

Denver Language School. It's a DPS charter school. Become familiar with the Denver choice system well in advance of applying as the process can be daunting and once you give up your seat in your neighborhood school, it's gone. There's also Denver International School in Lowry. It's private, but it's the better of the two language schools.
