From 1 to 10, 10 being terrible, how would you score this one? I spent the better part the afternoon driving around the northern parts of Denver and Aurora in it. I just came back from dinner by the Walmart at Chambers and Parker Rd and it was pretty clear down there but farther up Chambers got worse. I think I did OK. I just played follow the leader, kept my distance, and didn't make any sudden moves.

Probably a couple of inches by 6 PM here in Louisville. No snow removal being done. Wasn't hard to get home.

We officially got 2 inches in Grand Junction (I know this is the Denver forum, but thought I would chime in). They actually called off all schools today!!! What a joke.
We don't have a ton of plows, but seems crazy to call off school. We have had worse storms this year already, and we didn't even have late starts. They must have been expecting a bad storm
!

What part of town are you in? I left the DU area around 2:00 and drove Evans to Colorado to 6th Ave to Quebec to Colfax to Chambers. There was quite a bit of traffic and we were doing about 20-30 mph most of the time. Felt like LA but with snow. I saw a bunch of plows out but none were actually plowing.
How do you all feel about city street vs. highways when there's snow? I felt more comfortable taking city streets because I knew the speeds would be lower and hopefully I'd get in less trouble. When I crossed under I-225, it looked like they were moving a lot better than the streets.
Even though I guess this was a pretty mild snow, I feel pretty good about gaining the experience. I only lost traction a little one time from the accelerator since I was being very gentle on the gas. The ABS did kick in a few times but I left myself plenty of room in front of me so there was no danger of hitting anyone even when the car wasn't slowing as quickly as I'd hoped.

ha snow driving is fun! you're from socal? first snow driving? I was out today too and had an appointment on S Colorado and then had to head to Costco and then back downtown. Saw like 3 or 4 dumb accidents
But I'd rate that a 1 out of 10 as well. That was like.....an inch? inch and a half?

We don't have a ton of plows, but seems crazy to call off school. We have had worse storms this year already, and we didn't even have late starts. They must have been expecting a bad storm
