I know Denver is very expensive and a boom city , but are there cheaper areas and cheap suburbs I could find say a max of 1200 rent . That has less than half hour commute to Denver airport

Commerce city, Northglenn, Thornton and Henderson. Those are probably your best chances.

How many bedrooms do you need? Seems to be quite a few places under $1200. Unless you need four bedrooms, garage and yard.

Nothing too crazy 1 bedroom preferable , if I had to I might be able to deal with a studio . Are those areas safe ?

What are the " ghetto rough areas " to avoid and not live in ?

You don't need to live in a sketchy suburb to get a studio or even 1br for $1200.

Agree. We're renting out a townhome along the new R line which opens in the winter, and absolutely all of the interest we're receiving (from qualified renters) is fom people hoping to take it to work when it opens, people wanting to bike or bus until then. They're also building (or supposed to be) new apartments near the Iliff station. There are several apartments that will be within walking to the new line though. The ones behind us are under $1000 for a 1 bedroom and were a little scary, but much of the riff raff has been cleared.

Aurora or Green Valley Ranch are probably your best bet and super close to DIA. It took me less than 10 minutes from my son's swimming lessons on 6th & Airport Blvd. last week to get there (with no traffic)

As for, "ghetto," op, I spend Saturday nights listening to the police scanner and most of the crime goes on around E. Colfax and North of Mississippi but West of i225 in Aurora.

Green Valley Ranch is perfect for someone who works at DIA and isn't, "ghetto," at all.

I checked your posting history to check where they live now to figure out what their idea of "ghetto" is. I found a ton of questions about tons of cities in the last couple of weeks. Are you just rolling through the possibilities?
