Lakewood would be best for easy access to your job. Thornton is over on the NE side of Denver, Golden is west. Would be a long drive. Evergreen is in the foothills. Lots more snow. Not too far from Golden, but would still be a fair commute, and to repeat, lots of snow.

Yes, Evergreen gets on average 83" of snow per year while Denver gets on average 55". But, Jefferson County does a great job of plowing snow including side streets on County maintained roads in Evergreen whereas, Denver doesn't plow side streets at all.

Denver does plow side streets AND when time permits the alleys.
