Greetings folks,

Can anybody recommend any churches in the Denver area with a liberal view on things (i.e. non judgemental, gays are not bashed, women are allowed at all ranks, etc)?

However, even though I have faith in God I don't particularly agree with many of the conservative church values and I'm concerned about finding a church down there that will align with our beliefs.

I was raised Catholic, I am not really concerned about what denomination the church is, just looking for the right fit. Some churches while they have liberal views, the services themselves are very umm...uptight?
I am looking for something more contemporary with more energy! A church that is not that big and not too small either, with big emphasis in community.

I strongly believe a church should have a sense of community, Community/support makes us healthier. People need supportive relationships

Would love to find a true "come as you are , wear jeans and be yourself" with rock band included, but also not held to conservative views on women and marriage.

Preferably a church with plenty of 30-somethings and young children.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Pretty much any church in Capital Hill. There are a wide array of Christian and non-denominational churches that are very progressive. Some are even very LGBT friendly.

It has been our experience that most non denominational churches are pretty liberal and open minded. Another option always is the Episcopal churches. They allow women at any level, have gay and lesbian priests and even bishops.

I think a lot of Unitarian churches tend to be pretty liberal and open-minded as well.

Most ELCA Lutheran churches are pretty liberal. Look for one that calls itself "Reconciling in Christ". That means it's GLBTQ friendly.
