Yeah there's really no city quite like S.F. In the United States. I would go there as well.

I think either would be great for a vacay. You'll see different things in each. SF probably has a bit more "pizazz".

Come to Denver whenever you have the chance though! I think you'll like it.

Mike - I don't see the Paris similarity, but if you want Paris in North America, go to Quebec City, though a little nippy this time of year.

P.S. I voted SF in the poll.

If the OP did not have 68 prior posts, I would have voted troll.
I live in Denver and plan to die here in 2043, but SF is just amazing.

Yeah, it is. Never thought I'd leave, but life had different plans for my family. Everyone should see SF at least once. So much to do and see. Redwoods, ocean, history, architecture, fine dining. OP, just go. You won't regret it.

I honestly don't get why anybody would take a vacation to visit Denver as the primary/only destination, unless if they're from a small town in Nebraska or Montana where Denver is the closest big city. I can see using Denver as the travel hub to take trips exploring the Rocky Mountains or other parts of Colorado, visiting with an eye towards potential relocation, visiting family, business trips, sporting event, a convention, etc, but going to Denver just to see Denver? Denver is/can be a good place to live, but I don't see what's there to do/see in Denver on a vacation that can't be done anywhere else.

I don't particularly like San Francisco, but one thing's for sure, there's no other place like it.

SFO for sure. My wife and I were just there over the weekend for a quick trip. We drove north along the coast just to go sightseeing.

People visit Denver for weed and sometimes beer... Hopefully we will get less of that now that more places are legalizing.

Is there a well known 1960's song about Denver?

I think not.

There are few things better in this world than standing at the Presidio and admiring the Golden Gate.
