Just wanted to share some thanks for all the info here on this forum. Some good, some taken with a grain of salt, but all info to digest nonetheless.

My job is moving us to Denver, so we'll be there March 27th. Lots to do on our end to get ready.

We will be renting first, then scouring the areas to see where we want to buy something. My wife has several friends that are already living all over the greater denver area. Their advice, along with our multiple trips there and the info found here on the forum give us a good idea of "The lay of the land"

My wife's job is 100% remote, so luckily we will be DINKs (Dual Income No Kids)

Looking forward to contributing more once we start our day to day life in Denver.

Good luck with the move, Brian. Hope all goes well and, yes, please keep us posted. It will be fun to have some fresh opinions (just don't get too fresh!).

Will do! On a side note I spent 7yrs on Oahu (last in 2014) my parents are retired there. Do you make it back to the Aloha state often?

Welcome to the Queen City of the Plains! Be prepared for any kind of weather. March and April are typically 2 of our snowiest months. Could be in the 70s one day and have a blizzard the next. That being said, I can't imagine leaving the Front Range ever again.

Thanks bluescreen73,

so based on the last week of march, coming from the west, would it be safer/better to drive into Denver via 70 or coming down into Denver via 25?

Eh they both can be pretty rotten during the winter. 70 is more heavily traveled but tops out at much higher elevations than 80. 80 OTOH is prone to high winds, ground blizzards, and black ice.

You'll have to watch the forecast and be prepared to adjust your route on the fly.

We live on the Big Island for about eight months a year and in Buena Vista for the rest of the year.
