Hey guys, my name is Dustin. im 20 years old, going for my Computer Science Degree and im about to be 21. My fiance is 24, she has her LVN. And we have a beautiful 5 month old son. I got quite a few questions. Ive never lived or been anywhere except i drove to las vegas once. So you know im kinda sheltered in a way. 1 main reason to move is to experience living somewhere else. My fiance has been to Colorado and she says its the most beautiful place she has ever been to. My dream is to work for Google, when im done with school. But we dont want to live in Denver. We want to live within drivings distance of course. Where would be a good place for us? How is the job market with IT/Web Design? All the info i can get will help me out.

Thank in Advance,
Dustin

its a district where a lot of technology businesses have locations. its south of downtown, so parts of lakewood, littleton, aurora, highlands ranch, etc would be closer to the area

Are you going to buy or rent? What is your price range?
Where (what nighborhood in Colorado) do you think you will be working?
What do your folks (your kid's grandparents) think about your packing up and moving?

Of the places you mentioned, which is a good place for my family to live. I want somewhere that is family oriented, and nice. I don’t want to live in a slum town or ghetto by any means. Are those jobs easy to get?

Hey Charles, well i guess Rent at first, i want to buy something, but i guess i would want to experience it first hand. My price range i guess would depend on what kind of pay rate i would get there. What is average wage for webdesigner/IT? out here in Cali we can afford 250,000 or so give or take. I was told the best jobs for IT/Web Design is in Denver. If you know where those good jobs are at, let me know. My mom has been divorced since i was 2. So its just her and my little brother who is 11. (the boyfriend is an asshat) so she said she would come out after us. On my fiance's side, here mom and sister will be coming as well after we get out there. Her dad just retired in Cali. (They are divorced too). What is the cost of living out there ??? Gas, taxes, rent, houses, food. Is there ice hockey? (i play roller)

well out here minimum wage is 8.00/hr and i make 17/hr. She doesnt work and rent is INSANE out here because of all the foreclosures. a 2-bedroom is starting at $1200 a month. there are some 1-bed that are $1700 a month. Its nuts out here. What do you think i'd make out there? How would i go about finding a job first, before moving?
