These are prime areas but still kind of crazy to think that there are 2 bedrooms renting for $3000 in Denver!

And also interesting for me to note that rentals for a 2 bedroom in Stapleton are comparable to my mortgage (including RE taxes and HO insurance) for my 3 bedroom plus loft paired house.

I can understand downtown, but Cherry Creek seems excessive. I guess if you want to be close to Shotgun Willie's and Target.

I read that 2 bedroom apartments in SoDoSoPa are renting for more than $4000 per month.

I heard only the Lofts and Residences at SoDoSoPa are that much.

(JMHT13, it's a reference to a South Park episode, one that was actually pretty funny. Edit: My husband says is stands for "South Downtown South Park". I mean who doesn't know that, right?)

That's not Cherry Creek, that's Glendale. This is referring to the real Cherry Creek.

Yep, I was paying $1970 for my 2bedroom apartment in Littleton.

On a related note, Colorado ranks 12th in the nation regarding wage needed in order to afford a 2 bedroom rental...$21.97/hr
