It's definitely back on my list again since the only less-than-truckload trucking companies giving me a shot are based out of there. I figure get on with whomever there to get my foot in the door. Then transfer back down to NM with the same company after a few months. I'm not old by any means, but I was always a borderline introvert. With all the "hip kids" populating the area, it's best to go to work, go home, rinse/repeat.

The other is 'weather." KC's sucks, especially in the summer. I was there on July for a convention and couldn't wait to get back to Sacramento's merely hot weather. Denver's got quite an edge on weather, which is not a small consideration. (I scratched Portland from the list because after six years in New England, 300 days of gloom was not an attractive consideration.)

You can do that, I am just giving advice from my point of view, which may be informative. The summers here are much worse, but spring in Kansas City is much nicer.

People in Denver complain about hot summers, but it is not hot at all compared to a lot of the country. Colorado summer nights are amazing.
