Can any local ladies recommend a good, reasonably priced hairdresser in central Denver? I'm in Wash Park. I just moved here from Baltimore and I had a great hairdresser who took her time with me...She would do my highlights, cut and style for only $80! It took me years to find her, so I am worried about finding a new one that can compare in value and the special attention.

I've even considered flying back to Baltimore to see her again...

Hopefully someone who lives in Wash Park will post.
Failing that...
Would you be willing to get to 17th and Washington St?
I do not know if the place I used to go to is still there, but it is certainly listed.
I am not sure we are supposed to list places here, but the woman was Diane and her place was Synergy, at 729 E 17th Avenue.
She did a wonderful, professional job, and did take her time with me.
Whatever you do, try to avoid going anywhere in Cherry Creek. The mall is fine for shopping, but the general area, in terms of personal services, has become awfully snooty and way, way over-priced for what you get.

When my DD first moved to Denver, she would come back up to Louisville to get her hair cut. Then she found someone down in the DU area. They're out there, you just have to look. Though I would hate to have to find a new one; I've gone to mine for 20+ years.

Thanks for the tip, I will certainly check her out and let you know how it goes.

I go to Synergy and highly recommend Paul. (Diane is still there and owns the place, but I've only had Paul do my hair). You can go with confidence.

Synergy was recommended by a neighbor who had highlights and whose hair looked great. She couldn't compliment Paul enough. She was right.

I will be moving back east soon, and dread the prospect of finding someone new. I have had some bad experiences!

FYI, color, cut, style, etc. is $125 at Synergy. You can spend many times that elsewhere and regret it!

As much as I'm looking forward to our move, I dread looking for a new hairdresser. (I know, this should be the least of my worries, right?) I've been going to the same guy for over 17 years, and I've never once been disappointed. I love that I can let him do what he does best while I just relax and wait for the end result, which is always awesome.
