There's a "heat dome" over the middle of the country and it may stay hot for another week. I had 111F here in Peoria, AZ yesterday and looking at 117F tomorrow. Story on WaPo for those who can see it.

Oh man, 117, that is brutal!

Hopefully this high pressure that has been sitting over the western U.S. will break soon and we can start welcoming the Summer monsoons.

No more TABOR. Smooth roads. Lots of roads and lanes. City government (Peoria, AZ) is run by adults (unlike COLO SPGS). Lower elevation better for my heart. Homeowners insurance 90% cheaper than COLO SPGS. No more snow to shovel. No more grass to mow; landscape takes care of itself. No hail storms.

It honestly doesn’t seem a whole ton warmer in Denver than usual from when I lived there back in 2017. Low 90s right now? My car would frequently say regularly between 95 and 100 this time of the year until Mid-September to be honest. And I still check the weather up there weekly.

Down here in TX the heat index can be up to 110 right now so count your blessings. If you wanted to end up in CO because of a cool summer, think again. It gets as hot as shi** for the most part.

Want to know what humidity is like, live in Jacksonville, FL.. We lived there for 10 1/2 years, before returning to Colorado (northern this time) last August. There have been times, this summer, that I've compared the humidity here in Larimer County to that in Jacksonville. Way, way down here! There are those that live there, any part of Florida, that the high humidity doesn't bother at all. Just like winter/snow doesn't bother many here in Colorado. High humidity comes with living in Florida, just as winter/snow comes with living in Colorado.

A google search confirms that Denver gets dew points 60 or above, 14 days per year. The highest I ever have observed here was 64.

I guess we can have humidity and rain or dry and fires. Nature decides!
