Hey all been thinking of buying a 3 or 4 bedroom home and renting out a few rooms. I’ve been looking at Facebook rental groups and it seems everyone on those want to live in the trendy Denver neighborhoods. It got me thinking, what are some affordable areas for a home this size that would have a decent demand for renting rooms to young professionals? I’ve been looking at Aurora but maybe second guessing myself. Budget is probably <$400k. Are there “bad” areas I should avoid in the sense of low demand for single rooms? Any part of Denver or suburbs are on the table. Thanks!

A house at less than $400 is below the average. $450,000 with 3.5% down is less than $2500 a month.

If you are going to live in the house, try for something near light rail or near a college.

COVID has changed the way we work.

If you are not living in this house try for a townhome. Easier to rent.
