This was a funny exchange :P

FWIW, I am legitimately not concerned about diversity or urban areas, we come from a very diverse community; but obviously if we are potentially relocating to a brand new area, I would want to ensure that safety and quality of like is paramount to the decision (which I think is at the forefront of most the areas you have highlighted). I think this offers good areas and maybe going with these areas in mind and then chatting with a realtor will be a good start. I appreciate everyone's comments

Thank you!

Some areas of Aurora near the Denver city line are a bit sketchy, we've reported that here for years, but MUCH of Aurora is very much worth considering, as much as the other suburbs.

No more broad-brushed bashing of Aurora.

Cherry Creek schools student state test scores essentially flat from last year
About half of Cherry Creek students met or maintained grade level expectations in English. Less than half met or maintained grade level expectations in math.
From the article:

"[Director Kristen] Alerta also said that parents have opted their children out of taking the tests, which affect the district’s overall test scores. When Director Angela Garland asked why parents are opting out of the tests, Alerta was only able to provide anecdotal evidence. He said that this is a trend seen in other school districts, and that some parents don’t prioritize standardized tests."

Fewer than 15% of students at CCHS take CMAS and other state standardized tests. It doesn't help students get into college, nor does it give any meaningful data for the students or parents to use. This is a great example of test fatigue.
