I searched but couldn't find this topic posted.

I was hoping some of you with tween age kids could give me a run down of their favorite things to do in Colorado. We are so excited to come to such a family oriented town (have been in Vegas too long). My boys are really looking forward to the zoo and waterparks! We are a homeschooling family so any advice on great educational field trips would be wonderful as well. We are moving to SE Aurora but would love to take fun day trips.

THANK YOU!!!!

In parker there is H2Obrien waterpark.
In Littleton there is Pirates Cove water park.
Both are pretty inexpensive.

There's a nice Wildlife Experience museum in Parker.

There's a childrens museum and aquarium near the Denver Broncos football stadium.

But you really need to use the search tool for about ten minutes and you'll get everything you need.

If you want to make an outing of it, there's Water World in Federal Hts (way north for you, but it's cool). You can get discount tickets at King Soopers.

Denver Museum of Natural Science - make a day of it and combine with the zoo.
Dinosaur Ridge is good (and free) so that's a good suggestion and can be combined with Red Rocks.
NCAR up here in Boulder - very educational, free. Combine it with the Celestial Seasonings Tour (free as well).

My kids loved going for a hike and then a picnic at Rocky Mountain National Park. The yearly membership isn't that bad, and then you can go as often as you like.

Thanks for all the great ideas everyone. I am sure we will be very busy. When we went out for househunting they loved this place called Dave and Busters. It was a tad, um, LOUD for me.
