i am unsure with my current job whether or no i will transfer with it, i would like to but if not i really dont care as its fairly brutal money aside i can do without 60 hour weeks. i am in some ways interested in coors. do you have to be 21 to work at coors? i am 18 and i am not picky about what kind of work i'd be doing honestly as long as i can make enough to pay rent, heck even a janitor at coors would be cool by me. i currently am a forklift operator at my job and get 12 and hour so something along those lines is what i am looking at hopefully it will work out with part time school

Coors isn't in Denver. It's in a nearby town called golden. It's about 15 minutes or so from downtown denver. Golden's a quaint town with a college, but denver's where an 18 yearold would want to be.
There's millions of jobs if you're willing to work.

That's great....that's as good a reason as any to have a job. Coors is huge, and you should be able to find something there. but it might be difficult to get your foot in the door since i bet they pay well. But it sounds like you have the right attitude. Good luck w/the school and job...it'll all work out!

I totally disagree. The # of people looking for good paying Denver/Boulder area jobs far exceeds what is available. It's a competitive job market. Tons of local and non-local folks all competiting for a finite number of jobs.

I said there's millions of jobs if you're willing to work. I didn't say that they were good paying jobs. Sometimes you have to pay dues and get your foot in the door before the riches roll in. The number of jobs may be finite, but the willingness to work and at what pay level is strictly up to the worker. Having a sense of entitlement seems to keep some people for accepting work. As if it's below them. The job market is tough, but there is work available.

Coors tends to hire help from temp agencies and makes them work as temps for long periods of time. Benefits are limited. When they get hired in (if they do at all) they will have to go through a new probationary period and start all over again.

Has Coors (Golden) been and are they still a good place to work? Do they "take care" of their people?
